Weigh in results for 10/22/122

Well my total loss so far is 12.4 pounds!   

 I keep small goals in mind and keep my calories in check.

 This weekend will not be as easy - I am having a little halloween party for my in laws and nephews Friday night. 

I have to make snacks and goodies - still gonna keep track- gotta keep going!

My Fitness Pal

So I have been using My Fitness Pal app on my phone as well as my laptop.

 Its a calorie counter but it also tracks your daily activity, weigh ins, keeps running reports of your progress, you can have buddies and chat on your page similar to facebooks news feed.

Its kinda cool - the phone app has a scanner that will allow you to scan the foods barcode and it plugs in the correct info. Or it has a database of thousands of things so you dont have to figure it all out on your own.

I'm trying to be dilligent about it - so far so good I guess.  Its handy because I can scan everything in so I can just do it while I am cooking for everyone.

Weight Loss Goal Reminder

Well today was AWESOME as far as keeping track of everything I ate and my excercise.

I made something to put up on the wall in the dining room.
Im crazy right - you might hang it in your bedroom behind the door--

  Its hanging across from where I sit.I know most of you wouldn't hang this on your wall for all to see sticking out like a sore thumb but I want to see it every time I sit down to eat.  Its poster size so its not like I can miss it.

I want anyone to see it when they come over to know that I am serious this time.

I want it staring me down if I REALLLY want that cookie.

I set goals that I will strive to meet - If i dont I wont cry about it but it will make me stop and re-evaluate what I am doing wrong and try and adjust.

I am just going to take it one day at a time and see how far I can get!

Shoes dont fit...

I was So excited when I got home yesterday!  I opened the mail box and there was a post it note for the mail man saying there was a package on my back porch!

Oh, how I loved them online!
So I put them on and I TRIED to like them.  I really.  Really. did.    I go foot bare or flip flops 99% of the time.  I hate shoes.  I have a narrow/regular heel and a wider toe so finding a good show is next to impossible - at least in my budget.
These had No suppport on the side and top - the material is flimsy at best. Not much arch support and have HARD soles.  *sigh* My toe was at the end but not so tight I wouldnt wear them
I got them on sale for $39.99 from $89.99 - Thought I got a good I get to send them back at my expense and try again....  On the up side I have lost another 2 pounds!

More Excuses.

So everyone is sick - John went back to work to work today but I started getting sick last night.  The kids have been sick for nearly a week, still trying to unpack and find places for everything.  I have been eating better but still not much excersise.

I finally broke down and bought a pair of cross trainer sneakers since all I had was flip flops and a pair of mud boots They should be here tomorrow.  Cant start working out till I get those....
I did order the Turbo Fire cardio workout dvds on ebay - checked the discs to make sure they were all there and not scratched last week -- they havent moved ........

 My 29th birthday is coming up in a couple weeks and I have to renew my drivers licence before the end of the month too.......Heres the deal.  I am giving myself this year to get into shape.  I am going to set little goals to get me there because I WILL NOT, I REFUSE to go into my 30's looking like I am stealing bags of marshmallows by hiding them under my clothes.
